Throughout the year, we host a vibrant mix of events – from hands-on creative workshops and wellness classes to pop-up supper clubs and multi-day retreats. Whether you’re looking to add something special to your stay or plan a whole trip around it, there’s always something to get excited about.
Ceramic Workshop - Ikebana Vase
Spend a relaxed autumn evening discovering the art of hand-built ceramics in this intimate workshop led by ceramicist Caitlin Clarke.
Together, you'll explore clay as a material shaped by landscape, process and transformation while learning the process of hand-building. During the workshop, you'll create your own Ikebana vase – a ceramic vessel designed for the Japanese art of flower arranging. Each vase will include a kenzan (also known as a flower frog), perfect for creating your own Ikebana-inspired arrangements at home.
After Caitlin demonstrates the key techniques, you'll have plenty of time to design and shape your creation. You'll also have the opportunity to finish your piece using one of Caitlin's own hand-developed glazes. Created through months of experimenting with natural materials such as wood ash and walnut husks, each glaze is developed in tiny batches through a process of testing, firing and refining. The result is a collection of beautiful, characterful finishes that you simply couldn't pick from a shelf.
Caitlin will be on hand throughout to offer guidance and encouragement, making the workshop suitable for complete beginners as well as those with more experience.
Please wear clothes suitable for working with clay - we'll provide an apron. Your finished piece will be professionally fired and ready for collection approximately one month after the workshop. Caitlin is also able to package and post the item to you for an additional £10.

All materials and equipment are provided, along with light refreshments including tea, soft drinks and nibbles.
We've kept this workshop intentionally small to ensure everyone has plenty of time and guidance from Caitlin. Places are therefore very limited, so we'd encourage booking early if you'd like to join us.

Pizza Night
Join us for a relaxed Pizza Night as part of the May Bank Holiday and half-term week. A local pizza truck will be setting up on our village green, serving delicious wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas fresh from the oven.
Coffee + Treats
Is there anything better than waking up on a Sunday morning to a coffee shop in a converted horse trailer right on your doorstep?! Wander over to our village green for delicious coffee, tea, pastries, ice cream and other treats!
Landscape Painting
Join us for a full-day landscape painting workshop with contemporary artist Lucy Kent, set in our peaceful creative studio.
This immersive workshop offers a rare opportunity to slow down, focus deeply, and explore landscape painting in a supportive, unhurried environment. Working from our beautiful studio space, you’ll use photographs and the surrounding landscape as inspiration, learning how to translate atmosphere, light, and feeling into paint.
Lino Print Workshop
Join us for a creative Lino Print workshop inspired by fish and coastal life.
In this hands-on session, you’ll learn the fundamentals of Lino Printing while designing and carving your own fish-inspired print. Led by local artist Lesa Welch, the workshop will guide you step by step through the process – from sketching and transferring your design, to safely carving lino, inking, and printing your final artwork.
Easter Ceramics Workshop
Join us this Easter for a relaxed and creative family clay workshop, perfect for children and adults to enjoy together.
In this hands-on session, you’ll be guided step-by-step in sculpting your own Easter rabbits using air-dry clay. Children can create sweet bunny pinch pots while learning simple hand-building techniques
Easter Scavenger Hunt
Join us for a relaxed Easter Egg Trail around our little hamlet - a gentle outdoor adventure designed for a mix of ages to enjoy together. Follow the clues as you wander between cottages, gardens, and hidden corners, exploring the hamlet along the way. Solve them all and you’ll earn a special Easter surprise waiting at the end.
Yoga
Start your Saturday morning with an hour of calm and grounding in The Dojo. Led by local teacher Rebecca Bradley, this gentle Ashtanga-style yoga session invites you to slow down, stretch, and reconnect through mindful movement and breath. Set in our peaceful studio, it’s the perfect way to ease into the weekend - leaving you feeling relaxed, refreshed, and ready for the day ahead.
